Creative Photography
This is a tailor made course. So even if you are just starting or have some experience it will be designed to help you. By understanding you and your stage of development I will try to raise your picture taking with a fairly gentle process from which most of my previous students have benefited.
The benefit of this type of course is that it is practical and in the field, either landscapes or cityscapes. I can see where you need development, demonstrate best practice and correct mistakes as you make them. I learnt the hard way, from my own mistakes over many years. This is your easier and faster short-cut to better pictures.
Using your camera on auto mode is quite restrictive but a good starting point nevertheless. I will help you to unleash the creative potential of your camera by showing you how to use depth of field, speed and aperture settings, focal points, filters, difficult lighting conditions and the rules of composition.
My aim is that you leave at the end of your tuition with a greater understanding of seeing photographically, how your visualisations can be produced into great images and how to use your camera as a creative tool to capture them.

It is either a one or two day 'One-to-One' practical hands-on course designed to help you find your creative side and enhance your photography pleasure by showing you how to capture a scene at it's potential best. It last about 6 hours (12 hours for 2 day course)and is located in either Bristol or around the Mendips depending upon your level of experience. It will help you to improve your technique, get the most from your camera and open your eyes photographically.
You will receive notes on technique and composition which will be used throughout the day.
Master Class - I will happily provide an in-depth practical tutorial on your DSLR. Please contact me for details.
LRPS and ARPS
If required, this course will cover the assessment criteria and provide critique of your work plus guidelines to achieve a 'Distinction' for Licentiateship and Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS/ARPS) for Still Photography.
Most digital images, especially RAW files, need some tweaking so included in the price is an acquaintance lesson in Adobe Photoshop's editing principles, or more in depth if you already have some experience, and finally the production of an A3 print, of your best shot of the day!
